Bud Light “Quarantine Hotline”
Rick Wayne recently directed a ‘shot-in-quarantine’ commercial for the new Bud Light Seltzer. The spot, which followed COVID-safe guidelines along each step of production, stars the talented NFL Network Host Taylor Bisciotti as the curious consumer, and Rick Wayne himself as the call center employee. The resulting advertisement is light, fun and bubbly -- not unlike the low-calorie sparkling beverage itself.
When asked about the process, Rick had this to say:
“It was a cathartic, creative expression that I sorely missed while being stuck between the same four walls. Stir crazy and yearning for human connection in the midst of staying sheltered at home, I discovered Bud Light had a call center and decided to call and chat up their brand rep and test the hotline’s limits. It was such a unique brand experience, I wanted to share it from my own POV.”
